That question seems harder to answer these days - especially if I'm being honest with myself.
Does there need to be a clear answer? Aren't mixed up feelings just part of the growth process? Our world, our communities, our relationships are undergoing massive changes. Each of us are changing too. Each day brings new joys and frustrations (often in the same package):
The delight of watching my boyfriend's boys hunt out Easter candy in the yard. . . the headache of the resulting epic sugar highs
The excitement of finally building an online studio of classes to share. . . attempting to scale the steep learning curve of filming, editing and marketing videos and realizing it's a long road ahead
What are some of yours?
My grace comes, not in trying to have it all figured out, but in allowing the ups and downs to be part of the process. Long (sweaty!!) walks help (seriously - did Florida decide it's July already?) Yoga helps. Being brave enough to share what's exciting me (like these 2 new classes!!) even though they aren't perfect helps.
I hope they'll help you too! We're all in this together.
Develop a stronger core without doing crunches! Instead, we’ll focus on ways to improve posture and build strength without aggravating back pain by avoiding deep flexion (rounding of the spine), side bending and twisting.
You know those days (there seems to be a lot of them lately) . . . too many hours without moving - at a desk, glued to the couch. . .
It's hard to get up (literally). Your back is stiff and your hips ache. Maybe it's creeped up into your neck and shoulders. This is your practice for those days.
